ALERT. There has been a new development in the PeopleMover saga.

We Miss You PeopleMover

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom has been down for refurbishment for MONTHS now. It keeps getting a new reopening date, and then having that date change as the refurbishment gets extended again. Most recently, the refurbishment was set to end in February, but that has sadly changed.

In early February, we saw the PeopleMover being tested and just a few days ago we saw REAL people riding on it. We were counting down the days to the PeopleMover’s previously scheduled reopening on March 1st. But, now things have changed. When we checked the Disney World calendar today, we saw that the PeopleMover refurbishment is now listed through April 3rd, 2021.

It is not listed on April 4th, 2021, however. So, it is possible that the PeopleMover will finally reopen on that date.

It looks like we’ll have to go ANOTHER month just sitting and staring at the ride, waiting for it to reopen once again. Of course, this reopening date is subject to change in the future. So, we’ll be on the lookout for any updates and let you know what we see.
