Fans of the Haunted Mansion have been able to collect quite a few mementos with things like fans and gargoyles.
On our visit to Disney World today, we spotted the door hanger at the Emporium that we’re guessing Madame Leota uses herself. Only thing is, something was a bit off… .
Welcome to The Haunted Mansion foolish mortals, or should we say ‘Folish Mortals.’ Yep, that’s right, there’s a typo on the door hanger! Looks like the 999 happy haunts were playing tricks around Disney and deleted the extra ‘o’ making us mortals look even more foolish.
If you’re still willing to purchase the door (or tomb) tag for $7.99, you can always turn it around and hide the typo! The other side says “Tomb Sweet Tomb” and features tons of spooky bats. Plus, the Mickey shaped handle is a cute detail!
As Judy Hopps from Zootopia would say, “We all make mistakes. No matter what type of animal,” and this one joins an array of others Disney designs that skipped the spell check phase. We hope the next batch will correct this funny error and we’ll be back to welcoming foolish mortals. And hey, it was nice to have a bit of a giggle don’t ya think?!

So apparently Disney laid off the spellchecker?
Looks like you all need to work on spelling/grammar a little too. HAHA
DFB needs a spellchecker too, “We’re hope the next batch….”
They’ve been having a lot of these lately. I hope everything’s ok over there
Meagan, touche. 😉 Thanks for reaching out. I’ve shared this with the editors.
I don’t really see a problem. My family emigrated from Foland in the 1930’s.
