We are still trying to find as many holiday snacks as we can in the parks and are happy that quite a few selections have stuck around past Christmas this year!
Well, today we visited the Trolley Car Cafe at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and found a holiday treat that has stuck around but it looked a little…off.
While we were grabbing another Eggnog Latte (because who knows how much longer these will be available!) we spotted the Chocolate Chestnut Pinecone looking a little greener than normal… .
The Chocolate Chestnut Pinecone is a chocolate pine cone-shaped mousse on top of a praline “leaf” but this normally tasty treat doesn’t look too appetizing with that much green food coloring and white snow. Dare we say it looks…moldy?
Especially since it typically looks like this… .
This holiday treat is usually pretty tasty and stunning, so this is probably just a fluke and the treat should go back to looking like an actual pinecone! But this was quite an interesting thing to spot in the case today and we couldn’t help but giggle a bit.

Pine cones turn brown during the fall and winter season. When spring comes around the new cones are green. Maybe Disney is “waxing” hopeful for spring in the parks!
