We won’t lie to you, a trip to Walt Disney World can be pretty expensive. Buy, there are several ways to save on your trip!
It’s a question we get asked A LOT, “How do I afford Disney World?” or “How can I save money at Disney World?” and we have a lot of tips for you! One of the biggest ways to save money at Disney is to take advantage of discounts, so today we’re sharing all the BIG Disney discounts that you need to know about for 2021!
1. FREE Disney World Tickets!
Disney recently shared that starting January 5th, guests can get an additional 2 days of theme park tickets when they buy a 4-night/3-day room-and-ticket package at select Disney Resort hotels. This will be valid for most nights from January 8, 2021 through September 25, 2021 — that’s a BIG window! (Note that it ends a week before Disney World’s big 50th Anniversary.)
This deal is not yet available for booking and becomes available on January 5th! So set a reminder if you’re looking to book this offer!
According to Disney, guests must stay a minimum of 4 nights to receive this deal, but it can be booked on stays of up to 14 nights. The offer isn’t valid for certain hotel rooms, including options like the campsites at Fort Wilderness and the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

If you’re thinking “that sounds exactly like the last offer,” then here’s the difference — the savings are greater for stays at value and moderate resorts than booking through the other deal.

Slight typo in #2 above… the (up to) 35% is through April 17th, not the 27th.
Thanks, Rach! Flagged for the team.
It’s better if military personnel and retirees buy the special military tickets at a base Travel and Ticket Office or MWR in order to avoid paying taxes on them. I have done it that way since Disney began offering discounted tickets to the military (price is negotiated yearly between the two). You can also buy the tickets at Shades of Green.
I think all guest staying in a Disney Hotel should be able to have extra time in the morning and evening. It should not be different for the top tier hotels at night
Hi, just wanted to check … All the dates you listed talk about 2021! Is this a typo and it should be 2022, it is this an old article?
Ruth, this post was from last December. Thank you for reaching out.
