Update: We spoke with a General Manager Cast Member who confirmed for us Disney World is not selling new Tables in Wonderland memberships for the time being. We’ll provide more updates as soon as more information becomes available.
Walt Disney World has undergone a lot of changes since re-opening. We’ve seen limited menus, increased sanitation procedures, and many changes to experiences like rides and attractions.
One of the most surprising changes was the cancelation of the Disney Dining Plan. Many guests rely on the dining plan to budget for their vacations. We were curious to see what the process would be like for guests who use the Tables in Wonderland dining discount card. Would Cast Members honor the discount for those of us whose cards expired during the closure?
Our Tables in Wonderland membership expired on June 3oth, just before the parks re-opened. We headed to Tiffins in Animal Kingdom to see if Cast Members would still honor our discount and what the process would be like if they didn’t.
Our Server told us that Disney is honoring cards that expired during the closure. Disney hasn’t completely ironed all the details out so we’re still unsure as to when they will stop honoring the expired cards. She informed us that there wasn’t a need for us to renew our card at the moment. This is likely to change, like many of the updates happening at Disney World.
As it stands now, you can use your expired Tables in Wonderland discount card until told otherwise! Just brace for the day that you’re told you actually DO have to renew! 🙂 This is a great way to receive dining discounts for Annual Passholders, DVC members, and Florida Residents. We’ll be sure to update you when we receive more info about the dining plan and Tables in Wonderland!

Are you a member of Tables in Wonderland? Let us know!
Good to know! I was wondering about this myself, since mine expired in April. I’m happy to know I can use it next week. Nomad Lounge, here I come! ?
They said the TIW wold be extended for the duration of the closure. They said it in March or April.
Wondering if expiration dates were extended for TIW cards? My card will expire in Dec 2020.
We went to Raglan Road a couple of days ago and there wasn’t a problem using out TIW card.
I went to guest services 4 days ago and was told they have no idea how long the TIW was extended but we used it (expired in June) with no problem. TIW should give us an update of what to expect.
Can anyone purchase the Tables in Wonderland Card or is it only sold to AP and DVC members? Also, what is the advantage of having a Tables in Wonderland Card. Thanks for reading this and keep up the great work.
You are not allowed to purchase a new one at this time and guest services are unsure when the service will be available again for purchase.
Thanks, Mark. They’re sold just to APs and Florida residents. The card allows users to get a percentage off some meals and (at least in the past) could also result in invites to special events.
Thanks for answering my question. I will have to take that into consideration if/when I decide to buy an annual pass. Of course, I really don’t if/when I would be able to go to WDW. It has been 17 years since I last went there.
DVC members can also purchase TIW cards.
