There has been a LOT of Disney news on the docket from yesterday, but we just noticed something that Disney DIDN’T announce.
We’ve been fielding all sorts of Annual Pass news — options for the reopening phase, theme park reservation limits, Passholder preview days, and more. Now, though, we’re having some trouble accessing the purchase page for Annual Passes. Has Disney paused Annual Pass sales? Here’s what we’re seeing.
We were on the Disney website last night checking out the latest updates when we went to check in on the Annual Pass page. Interestingly enough, we had some trouble. When we selected “Annual Passes” from the Disney World website menu…
…the page redirected us to the Experience Updates page! Um…WEIRD! The Experience Updates page has all the latest announcements from Disney about reopening procedures, but it doesn’t mention anything about Annual Passes being unavailable. Just a few days ago, the purchase portal was still open for Annual Passes, so it looks like something may have changed.
We tried to get to the Annual Pass page from a few different links but to no avail. We always ended up right back on the good ol’ Experience Updates page. Could this mean that Disney has paused Annual Pass sales? We’re not sure. It very well could be one of those pesky Disney site glitches.
We tried again this morning just to see if this was still the case. And we’re still being redirected from the Annual Pass page. Do keep in mind, Disney has paused other ticket sales as they roll out the new reservation system, which you can read more about here.
Whatever the case, we’ll be keeping a close eye on Annual Pass news from Disney and you can bet we’ll keep trying to get to that purchase page. We’ll let you know as soon as we know more. Keep an eye on DFB for all the latest reopening updates!

Have you been able to access the Annual Pass page today? Tell us in the comments!
They stopped all ticket sales! I would think Annual Passes fall under that.
I was able to renew two annual passes and buy a new one yesterday (6-19) over the phone. I did it through DVC Member Services!
I spoke with Disney last night. They stopped selling annual passes at 6 last night. Can’t even re new, my kids can’t go on the family vacation cause I can’t do there passes.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Tori.
I was able to renew my Annual Pass yesterday through MDE.
Is there a number to call. wanted to update my husbands pass from silver to gold. I have a gold.
Amy, the Passholder line is (407) 939-7277. I don’t know how long it might take you to get through.
I tried to purchase passes over the phone today (407) 939-5277, for my trip in August (DVC member) and I was told that they are not selling park passes to anyone with resort reservations in 2020, but for people with resort reservations in 2021, park passes can be purchased beginning June 28th.
Dale, the published info from Disney says “later this summer” for 2020 ticket sales, so hopefully that is what will happen.
Amy & DFB Sarah –
Have fun getting thru to Annual PH Hotline. MUST CALL at 0700 for any chance to get in. otherwise you get “All Circuits are Busy, Try your call later”
Been waiting almost 3 hrs to talk to the Annual PH Monthly payment line. NO Extensions in system was told to expect 70 minute wait. and was told it would update within 24 hrs on Wednesday. Lied to again by a CM.
They are not taking any monthly payments for APs this coming year. You have to pay in full for the entire year and that is what I did. Took me two weeks to get through to them a couple of weeks ago.
I was able to RENEW my wife’s AP. I had to go to MDE / Profile/Tickets & Passes. It Allowed either the Full purchase or the monthly plan. $813 for FL Res Platinum AP
I just waited 1.5 hours on the phone only to be told they aren’t up for new annual passes yet on the website and to keep trying throughout the day and that I can’t get them online anyway b/c I’m DVC and have to do it on the phone. Very frustrating.
I purchased regular park tickets today for my August trip and was able to get all of the park reservations I wanted, yay! I’ll wait for annual passes until next year.
Dale, that’s great news!
I was in a chat with a cast member on their site two days ago and she told me that annual pass sales are not available right now and she did not know when they would resume nor how much they would be when they do resume.
Annual passes are still not available according to chat with a cast member yesterday. Also very disappointing that annual passholders have last choice when it comes to reservations. Instead, you can buy new tickets, the cheapest as a FL resident is $50/day… so it seems that Disney is wanting to make up some lost revenue by neglecting annual passholders, denying new annual passes and pushing new sales…. really disappointing for this Premium passholder who was trying to add her new adopted daughter so they could enjoy magic together. Universal, on the other hand, is giving all annual passholders a free guest ticket which includes the passholder benefit of early park opening!
Any news on annual passes being available anytime soon??
Frederick, so far no word.
At the DVC Annual Meeting on July 10 Terry Schultz the head of DVC said that they were not selling Annual Passes. Nothing was said about Renewals.
