Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction Series is a collection of merch that Disney started releasing monthly at the beginning of this year.
The first few collections were able to be sold online, in the parks, and in stores. But with the parks and stores being closed over the last few months, the collection has been sold strictly online (except for a few pieces that popped up when World of Disney reopened). But now, we’re noticing some strange changes pertaining to the monthly collection online.
As you may remember, Disney shared that “new collection product launches and limited-edition merchandise will not be available for in-person purchases at Walt Disney World Resort until further notice. As always, Guests can find these items on shopDisney, subject to availability.”
So while we didn’t expect to see June’s release of the Main Attraction series at Disney Springs, we have noticed that the expected June 20th release date for the Peter Pan’s Flight series is no longer listed on shopDisney.
The website now states that it will be available soon.
In fact, there are no months listed for any of the remaining collections. Instead, they just read series 8,9, and so on.
Even the new series preview for the upcoming King Arthur Carrousel collection does list a release date on the site.
The language on the site currently reads, “Minnie Will Return Soon. Minnie has headed on summer vacation! Stay tuned and check back right here for the upcoming releases of Series 6 through 12. You won’t miss a thing as you build your magical collection.”
While this may make it seem like the collection releases are being delayed, we do want to mention that the shopDisney UK site (which US peeps can purchase from) still lists the collection as available starting June 18th. The UK site seems to have no mention of Minnie’s “summer break.”
So, does this mean that the upcoming series are delayed? Could it be a glitch on the site? We will continue to watch the site for updates. For now, we still think it’s worth logging on early to check it out just in case! These collections go FAST, so if it is released as planned, you don’t wanna miss out. If Disney releases more information regarding the language change, we will be sure to let you know!

Hopefully this means they’re finally addressing the horrendous ordering issues that happen for every new release
If their reason for postponing the release is to have them sold in stores once the stores open…. this is great news. The whole Minnie collection has been nothing but a nightmare since it was only sold online. I don’t mind at all if they postpone the collection for a few months until the stores open. Doing so will give real collectors and Disney fans a fair opportunity to be able to purchase the items for their collection rather than suffering the heartache of losing to bots or having to pay 10 times the amount to eBay sellers who main purpose is to make money off of people’s love for Disney. Having the collection on hold and returning them to in-store purchase is the best thing Disney can do to stop eBayers from scamming their fans.
After the May the 4th debacle… Nay, SHAM of a day on ShopDisney.com, they better be doing some MAJOR retooling to the website.
I had some choice words for shopDisney in phonecall, Twitter, Facebook and in page (Snail Mail form).
They sent out an email with the same info and the title “Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction Is On Hold.” Pretty sure it isn’t a mistake on the website.
I agree we have the first 5 but all sold out on line. Even queued at our local store but to no avail. We have great collection of Disney items and been to Disney world 10 times from the Uk. Cannot find The Peter Pan mini anywhere but was sold on eBay for a lot of money so not real collectors just money grabber
The new merch pass is even worse I have collected all pins so far but didn’t even get a chance for Peter Pan so will have an incomplete series in the book I bought specifically for this series. I did note that those individuals who buy to resell at a much higher price on eBay have already listed theirs for sale as soon as they receive them. Sucks for the true collectors who want the series to pass down NOT to make a buck!
