Rix Sports Bar & Grill
The upscale-sports-bar-meets-pub, Rix Sports Bar & Grill, had some recent menu updates. On the starters menu, we found the addition of Sticky Ginger Ribs and a Giant Pretzel and Queso, while the Lobster Sliders have been removed.
The NY Strip has been removed from the Entrees, while we found the addition of Citrus Mahi, Lemon Pepper Chicken, as well as an Island Spiced Mahi Sandwich. All burgers also have the option to use a Turkey Burger in place of the beef.
We also found an Adult Sundae on the dessert menu! This bb was a bowl of vanilla gelato loaded with rum-roasted pineapple (YES!) white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, pralines, whipped cream, strawberries, and caramel corn for $9.
Rix Red Ale has made its return! This is a custom craft beer made just for Rix! Even if red ales aren’t your thing, we found this one very approachable!
With an extensive number of televisions, if you’re thinking of watching the big game here, you’re in luck! They will be offering a number of Super Bowl Sunday Drink Specials, including $5.00 Rix Red Drafts, $9.00 Sideline Spritz, and $9.00 Touchdown Tea.
They will also be offering an $18.00 Wings and Watchos special that includes a half order of Watchos and Wings in your choice of sauce.
El Mercado de Coronado
We also found some updates at the gem of a food court that is El Mercado de Coronado. Chicken & Waffles have made their way back to the Kids Menu!
Over at the Pizza and Pasta station, a Lasagna has made its way to the menu! The pasta of the day on our visit was an Orecchiette and Meatball.
For a sweet treat, we found cute pre-packaged seasonal Crispy Rice Treats and Sugar Cookies themed to upcoming holidays including The Super Bowl…
…Mardi Gras…
…St Patrick’s Day…
…and Valentine’s Day.
These are $4.99 each or a snack credit for those on the Disney Dining Plan.
Maya Grill
Over at Maya Grill, we discovered a Kid’s Menu for those bambinos over the age of 9. Yes, it’s a menu for your BIGGER kids! It features the same items as on the younger kids menu, but they are bigger portions and will cost you more.
Siestas Pool Bar
Beat the heat and get a serious buzz going over at Siestas Pool Bar at the Dig Site Pool area. On our visit, they were offering the Parrot Passion as the drink of the day. This fruity delight features Coconut Rum, Triple Sec, orange juice, and passion fruit juice for $11.50!
Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago
We love Three Bridges Bar & Grill for their delicious tapas and gorgeous over-the-water-views. On our recent visit, we found several updates to the menu. They’ve added a Sparkling Sangria to the menu!
You can sample that as well as their other 3 house-made Sangrias-White, Rose’, and Red– as part of the Signature Sangria Flight!
Learn More About Their Sangria Offerings Here!
Speaking of Sangria, they are also offering a Sangria University! Held on Saturdays and Sundays, this is your opportunity to make your own personalized Sangria as you are coached by a Sangria Sommelier. Priced at $45.00, guests will also be treated to a sampling of all 4 of the house-made sangrias featured in the flight.
Have you heard about the new SECRET MENU ITEM we are absolutely loving? The Mexican Street Corn Dip is AMAZING!
If you’re a fan of elotes you will LOVE this dip.
