“Everybody wants to be a cat because a cat’s the only cat who knoooows where it’s at!”
Well, we would say that the Aristocats-inspired Le Petit Cafe is a very good contender for “where it’s at!” This brand new quick-service joint in the recently-opened Riviera Resort is the cutest spot designed after the popular french cafes of Paris.
In the morning, the Cafe serves coffee and yummy pastries, but in the evening it transforms into a wine bar complete with hors d’oeuvres, and specialty cocktails!

Atmosphere
When you’re indulging in the sip or eat of your choice from Le Petit Cafe’s evening offerings, you can either head out in the bright and tiled Le Petit Cafe space…
…OR you can swing just next door to the Voyageurs’ Lounge, which is a cozy and refined lounge area that’s perfect for sipping on a latte or cocktail.
We love the design of both of these spaces, but the vintage Disney aesthetic and homages to Walt are enough to pull us right on over to the Voyageurs’ Lounge while we review the yummy evening menu from Le Petit Cafe.

Eats
So, what kind of offerings are we talkin’ here? Well, just peek inside the beautiful royal blue evening menu to take a look!
You’ll have your choice of Specialty Cocktails, Distinctive Spirits, Beer, Hard Cider & Water, Wine, Specialty Coffee, and even Mocktails!
There are also a handful of snacks to try alongside your beverage of choice.
We opted to try out the Aperol Spritz and the Euro Cosmopolitan as our drinks with the Artisanal Cheese Plate and Charcuterie to go alongside them.
The Aperol Spritz for $13 is a mix of Aperol, Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco Superiore (say that three times fast!) and Soda Water.
This is a BIG drink. It comes in a large wine glass that’s practically filled to the brim! Luckily the majority of the drink is soda water — but that doesn’t mean that this guy isn’t seriously strong AND flavorful. We could definitely taste some rhubarb flavors from the Aperol as well!
On the other hand, the Euro Cosmopolitan for $15 has some pretty different flavors. It’s a combination of Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka, Cointreau, Cranberry, and Lime.
If you love a good Cosmo (we DEF do.) then this is an awesome cocktail choice! We were delighted when it showed up because of how pretty this drink is! It comes in a delicate and classy glass and the cranberry gives it a pretty light pink color. As for the taste? This cocktail is the perfect after-dinner sip with a super light flavor profile that isn’t too sweet or too bitter.
While we’re sippin’ on those, let’s take a look at the two sampling plates we nabbed! The Artisanal Cheese Plate was $11.99 and came as a pretty good portion of different cheese samplings.
Ours came with brie, montegrappa, Roquefort (cheese of the kings in France)…
…almonds, olives…
…honey, and almond cake.
For $13.99, we tried out the Charcuterie as well. And, you know how much we love a good Charcuterie!
The plate came with four different types of meat, the same crackers as the cheese plate, olives, nuts…
…copa, prosciutto, apricot, almonds…
…and a duck rillettes!
If you love charcuterie meats, this is definitely the plate for you! The different options were SUPER flavorful. The duck rillettes had a mix of capers and red onion that we couldn’t get enough of!! Honestly though, getting the cheese plate and the charcuterie together was a great idea because that meant we could mix and match our bites! Cheese and prosciutto? Yes, please!
Oh, and did we mention these HIGH FASHUN gold utensils?!? Are you impressed?

Overall
Evenings at Le Petit Cafe are a super relaxing and classy experience. This is a great way to unwind from a long day in the parks or if you get a few moments away from the kiddos. Of course, kids will enjoy the Mediterranean Mint Lemonade mocktail too, so no harm in bringing them along! Both of the cocktails we tried were well-crafted and mixed and there was a good variety so you’re bound to find something that fits your taste!
Now, that said, this isn’t a great choice if you have a lot of people in your group who don’t drink alcohol. The coffee options are always there, but this lounge is definitely more focused on the “bar” aspects of the menu. It’s priced similarly to other lounges around Disney World so the pricing is fair and the experience is definitely worth it. Now, we’re not sure that we’d necessarily take the trip over to Riviera JUST to revisit Le Petit Cafe in the evening, but we recommend checking it out at least once to see all the cool Disneyana and to try out one of the yummy European cocktails.
Remember, Le Petit Cafe is one of FOUR new dining options at Riviera Resort and we’ve tried all of them! Check out our reviews of Primo Piatto, Topolino’s Terrace, and Bar Riva too!
