If you’ve been bingeing out on Disney+ since its launch on November 12th, then you’ve probably noticed some key features you’ve come to know and love from those other subscription services have been strangely absent from the new streaming app.
But now, Disney+ has just made several updates to its live-streaming platform, making it easier for viewers to navigate and access its extensive Disney, Marvel and Star Wars-related content!
Disney+’s recent update includes a “resume watching” feature which wasn’t available when the app first went live earlier this month. We don’t know about you, but it was a major time suck having to re-open the movie we paused watching the night before and fast-forwarding to where we’d left off! Luckily, the new “resume” feature alleviates that problem for us now!
There’s also a “restart” button — in case you need to go back to the beginning of whatever you’re watching which is also super-handy!
Not that these new features haven’t been spotted yet when accessed by computer or mobile device but we’d suspect they will catch up in time.
We’re happy to see these new features added and are glad to see Disney+ is actively adapting to users’ needs. What other features will Disney+ be adding to its app? With a reported 10-million Disney+ users to satisfy, we suspect more improvements will continue to roll-out!

What features would you like Disney+ to have in future updates? Let us know what improvements would make you binge-watching easier in the comments below!
I would LOVE if there was a feature that would just play a random movie. Sometimes I just want to watch one, but don’t want to pick. I would love if I could go to the Pixar page for example, and just press play random movie or something like that.
Which platform have you seen this on?
Gilly, we’ve personally seen it on FireStick, iPhone, and laptop computer.
Kristen, that would be fun!
What I really want is a rating system. It has been driving me crazy, even if Netflix’s ‘thumbs up’ ‘thumbs down’ is barely helpful, it is better than nothing at all.
I wish there was a “continue watching” section to finish some of the movies we start but don’t finish!
On Apple TV 4K has this new feature as well. And having everything playing in 4K all the old classics look incredible.
