We’re STILL recovering from the onslaught of information that came out of D23 Expo 2019.
We learned about a new Moana-themed attraction, the upcoming Star Wars hotel (named Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser) and so much more.
There are so many attractions and restaurants to anticipate, you may have a difficult time remembering all opening dates for these experiences. Well, you’re in luck because we’ve compiled a FULL list of every Disney attraction and restaurant with an opening date or season.
Since many attractions are opening around Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021, we’ll kick off our list with everything coming to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Magic Kingdom
TRON Lightcycle Run
Another attraction coming to Magic Kingdom is the highly-anticipated TRON Lightcycle Run. This ride, which is based on Shanghai Disneyland’s TRON Lightcycle Power Run, is slated to open in time for Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021.

Epcot
As you likely know, there are SO MANY changes coming to Epcot!
Space 220
In case you missed it, Epcot’s space-themed restaurant finally has an official name — Space 220!
This restaurant is slated to open soon and will feature internationally-inspired cuisine along with more than 1,000 bottles of the world’s finest wines and a wide selection of craft beer.

HarmonioUS Nighttime Spectacular
As we mentioned above, Epcot Forever will replace IllumiNations — Reflections of Earth on October 1st of 2019, but in 2020, Epcot’s permanent nighttime spectacular will arrive!
The new show will be called HarmonioUS, and, according to Disney, the show will be the largest nighttime spectacular ever created for a Disney Park. It sounds like a combo of Rivers of Light and the current IllumiNations show — massive floating set pieces, dancing fountains, fireworks, lasers, and more.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Two experiences are coming to Epcot’s France Pavilion during the summer of 2020, including Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
This trackless dark ride is based on a similar attraction in Disneyland Paris, and will allow you to “shrink to the size of Chef Remy and race through Gusteau’s restaurant.”

La Crêperie de Paris
Joining Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure next summer is La Crêperie de Paris, which will offer both table-service and quick-service dining. The location will showcase the cuisine of celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse of Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul.
The menu will be inspired by the Brittany region of France and will offer both savory and sweet crepes.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
The highly-anticipated coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, will open in time for Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration in 2021.
The attraction will be located in the future Epcot neighborhood World Discovery, and will feature the first-ever “reverse launch into space!”

PLAY! Pavilion
Also opening in time for Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021 is Epcot’s PLAY! Pavilion, which will be located in the World Discovery neighborhood as well.
The PLAY! Pavilion (which will be housed in the old Wonders of Life building) is described as a “digital metropolis” where you’re able to connect with others in new and fun ways — through “games, activities, and experiences.” Spoiler alert — fashionista Edna Mode will be involved in this Pavilion!

Mary Poppins Attraction
Now, we don’t yet have an opening date or season for this one yet, but we recently learned that Epcot will welcome a Mary Poppins attraction to the UK Pavilion!
This new attraction will allow guests to “step in time down Cherry Tree Land past Admiral Boom’s house, then enter Number 17, home of the Banks family.” Disney JUST announced this attraction at the recent D23 Expo, so we don’t have too many details yet, but we’ll keep you updated as we learn more!

Disney Springs
During last week’s D23 Expo, we learned that not only is a new Cirque du Soleil show coming to Disney Springs but that it will begin previews on as soon as possible. And guess what? Tickets are already on sale!
The show — called Drawn to Life — is inspired by Disney animation and storytelling and will bring that to life with “acrobatic performances, dazzling choreography, musical masterpieces, and whimsical characters” as only Cirque can!

Disneyland Park
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Though guests are already able to experience Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disney World, Disneyland’s version of the attraction won’t open until 2022.
Disneyland’s Toontown will be home to the new ride. It will be housed in the El CapiTOON Theatre playing on the El Capitan Theatre, where Snow White first debuted.

Disney California Adventure
Avengers Campus
On July 18th, 2020, Disney California Adventure will welcome the first phase of their Marvel-themed land, Avengers Campus. This land is also on the way to Disneyland Paris, but its opening season is unknown at this time.
This land will include not one but TWO new attractions and a brand new restaurant experience based on PYM techology!
According to Disney, “In some ways, these new campuses are like the Avengers themselves: a group of diverse individuals who have teamed up for the same purpose,” said Scot Drake, Creative Executive, Marvel Global Portfolio, Walt Disney Imagineering. “This collection of unique addresses—each dedicated to a different discipline—have been brought together to champion the next generation of heroes.”

Worldwide Engineering Brigade or WEB
Opening with Avengers Campus in 2020, the Worldwide Engineering Brigade (also known as WEB) will be a BRAND NEW Spider-Man experience and the very FIRST Spider-Man ride-through attraction at Disney.
The attraction certainly sounds intriguing! According to Disney, “During an open house at WEB, the aspiring inventors are excited to invite you for a test drive of their latest invention: the “Web Slinger” vehicle, which allows you to sling webs just like Spider-Man!”

PYM Test Kitchen
A brand new restaurant known as PYM Test Kitchen will also open with Avengers Campus in 2020!
We don’t know a whole lot about this location yet, but Disney has given us a taste of what we can expect. “Just as Ant-Man and The Wasp use ‘Pym Particles’ to grow and shrink just about anything, Pym Technologies is using the latest innovations to grow and shrink food at this eatery!” Growing and shrinking food?! We’re here for it, Disney!

Wow, we sure do have a lot of new experiences to look forward to, don’t we?! We’re just counting down the days until we can check them out for ourselves.

Whether you're a rookie or a seasoned pro, our insider tips and tricks will have you exploring the parks like never before. So come along with us, and get planning your most magical vacation ever!
Which new restaurant or attraction are you anticipating the most? Let us know in the comments below!
I’m looking forward to a lot of the new attractions. Will Remy’s ride be a roller coaster or is it a slow moving ride? Will you be able to sit down and watch the new shows in China and Canada?
Does any one know what the definition of ‘SUMMER OPENING’ is according to Disney/America? I only ask because a number of years ago we went to Disney world in April on our hols with the expectation of new rides to be up and running for a Spring opening. A cast member told us oh no Spring isn’t until June! – that’s Summer to me! So what month would you think that a summer opening ride will be running? We don’t want to be disappointed again!
Cat Lover, unfortunately that’s really a vague timeframe, and like you’ve noted, sometimes that means VERY late in the season (bordering on the next). We’ll be reporting when we hear specifics.
Mickey, we expect Remy will be similar to the ride in Disneyland Paris — individual cars (looks like they hold maybe six riders, but I’d have to double-check on that). No word on any changes to the theaters themselves in China and Canada, but we’ll keep an ear out.
