Tomorrowland Speedway
in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is set to reopen this spring — and we’ve got two big hints that reopening day is coming soon!
Tomorrowland Speedway closed on January 2, 2019, to allow for construction of the Tron coaster coming to the Park in 2021. Earlier today we spotted cast members moving cars on the track (see our video on Twitter!), and we are now seeing Tomorrowland Speedway Fastpasses with availability as early as May 22. Disney hasn’t made any official announcements about the ride’s reopening, so this could be a glitch of the Fastpass system, and we’ll keep watching to see if this changes.
Even if the Fastpass start date remains May 22, that’s not say Tomorrowland Speedway won’t open sooner. But whether the reopening date is May 22 or a different day this month, it appears the sights, sounds, and smells of Tomorrowland Speedway will soon make their return to the park.
We can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the Tomorrowland Speedway again! And we’ll keep you updated when the attraction reopens!
