Along with ALL THE FOOD arriving today for the 2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, a new menu item has also arrived at Yorkshire County Fish Shop in Epcot’s United Kingdom Pavilion!
Home to the absolute classic Fish & Chips, Yorkshire County Fish Shop is currently also serving a Chicken and Mushroom Pie! You won’t find it on the regular posted menu… at least not yet, anyway.
Instead, the item is currently seen on a pop-up sign.
If you read the initial announcement for this item, you’ll also see that there has been a name change from Traditional English Meat Pie to the Chicken and Mushroom Pie served with Chips.
And the new name is certainly more fitting, both in regards to the pocket style of the pie, as well as the ample filling — positively packed with chunks of chicken and LOTS of mushrooms — tucked inside the crust!
Bits of bacon and leeks along with the cream gravy complete the filling. So, it’s for sure a hearty pie. But the most memorable part is the golden, super buttery crust which adds a ton of flavor and further increases the heartiness factor.
Now, I know a LOT of us (myself included) will have a hard time veering from the Fish & Chips we’ve enjoyed here for so long. But if you’re looking to change things up — or are simply glad to have another option if you’re traveling partner isn’t also a fan of fish — now’s your chance!
So, what do you say? Will you be stopping by the United Kingdom Pavilion to give the Chicken and Mushroom Pie a try?

Yum! That looks great, never thought I would want something from the UK pavillion since that is where I have travelled from. Irks me slightly that that delicious piece of pastry is a Pasty not a pie, but definitely going to stop by.
I’m beyond thrilled to find a pasty available in Central Florida! I hope it’s a success and sticks around for a while!
That’s a bit too much mushroom for me, unfortunately. I could deal if it was just little bits.
Speaking as a Brit that’s a pasty not a pie. And I’m pleased to say the food I’ve had in the UK pavilion doesn’t taste anything like the food we actually have here. I’m embarrassed to think that food in the UK pavilion is supposed to be representative of our actual food.
They told us last visit that the fish is tilapia (we had heard rumors the it was) so we asked and they confirmed it. Yuck.
I cannot go to Epcot without enjoying the fish and chips at the Yorkshire Fish Shop. I will not be trying chicken pasty at my favorite place in Epcot!!!
Looks lovely, but it is a pasty not a pie.
Thank you for letting us know that there’s bacon in it!
Hope it’s still available in July! I’m on it!
I’m allergic to fish so I always just skip the UK pavilion because I assume that’s all they have. I will definitely be trying this on my trip later this month.
Would the pasty considered a snack or a quick service meal on the meal plan?
Pandy, the Chicken and Mushroom Pie is a quick service credit.
It may be a pasty in the UK, but it’s a pie here. Since we are in the U.S. and many people have likely never heard of a pasty, it makes sense to label it as a pie, since most Americans will know what a hand pie is. I have friends who visit from the UK and they find the fish and chips to be just fine. Given the number of people eating happily around us in the Rose & Crown with clearly British accents, I guess they are not alone in finding the food more than acceptable. I doubt we will be trying the pies though, as we go there for the fish and chips.
Sandra, It’s also called a pasty in U.S. they’re especially popular in Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin.
You wouldn’t call a calzone, jamaican Patty, Samosa or an empanada a pie so why wouldn’t you call a pasty a pasty?
