There are no shortage of ways to celebrate Mickey’s 90th Birthday. In fact, Magic Kingdom will be kicking off a whole new party in the park on January 18th with Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration including the new Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party.
Another way you can mark the occasion is with the Disney Gift Card Collector’s Series honoring 90 Years of Mickey Mouse.
And last night after checking out all the new Potion Purple snacks and merchandise in Magic Kingdom, we stopped by the Main Street Cinema Art Shop to get a closer look at it.
For $300, you receive one of the 5,000 premium gift cards in a display box. It’s pre-loaded with $90 and is usable in almost the same way as a regular gift card. I say “almost” because you can reload it with more money to spend, but you can’t swipe the card when making your purchase.
It has no magnetic strip to ensure that the card will not be swiped so that none of the 2,500 Swarovski crystals that decorate the card would be damaged or fall off.
But don’t worry… if this $300 gift card isn’t on your list to pick up, there is a lot of other merchandise celebrating Mickey, and more snacks to come SOON when Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration kicks off next week!

Would you consider purchasing a Collector’s Gift Card? Please let us know with a comment!
I did and only slightly regret it 😀
I would get it in a second if it had $300 ( or close to that ) loaded on it. $90 = too little.
Come on, really? What’s next, limited edition paper bags?
You can also purchase the Disney Gift Card Collector’s Series online at disneyurl.com/giftcard and have it carefully shipped to your home address.
