If you’ve been following along on any of our trips to Pandora — The World of AVATAR, the newest land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, then you are already familiar with the new Satu’li Canteen.
Along with an entirely new array of eats for Animal Kingdom guests, something else made its debut at Satu’li Canteen: the Mobile Order process, available via the My Disney Experience app(you can visit our Mobile Order Page here). Mobile Order enables guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their food at specific Counter Service locations, allowing them to bypass the ordering lines in the restaurant and pick up their food directly from a designated counter.
And now, Mobile Order is on its way to select Magic Kingdom restaurants! According to wdwmagic.com, five Magic Kingdom Counter Service locations will begin to utilize Mobile Order this summer. Look for Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, Pinocchio Village Haus, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe, and Columbia Harbour House to pop up on the list of locations you will be able to select soon.
After kicking off at the new Canteen, Pizzafari was added as the next location where guests can currently utilize Mobile Order. Restaurantosaurus and Flame Tree Barbecue have already been confirmed as the next Animal Kingdom locations to be added this summer.

Exactly what kind of phone do you nerd for this?
Essie — Any phone (Apple or Android) that can run the latest version of the My Disney Experience app should be able to use this feature.
The ONLY reason I have had to get my last two new phones is because they update My Disney Experience and it won’t work on my current phones. That is really disappointing to have to do.
Two problems for me unfortunately. 1. My phone doesn’t support the updated MDE app, 2. the wifi is so patchy at times, it would be quicker to queue to order. However if lots of other people use it, hopefully the order queue will be shorter for those of us who can’t access this service.
I wonder if this can be paid for with the dining plan.
Will this work with the dining plan or is it for cash customers only?
Think this is a great idea in theory and would be great for if you are in line and are hungry and want to eat when you are done with your ride but I think this will not work well with the wifi and cell service being notoriously awful in disney parks
It works with the dining plan!
Jon — Yep!
I get that this is a sign of the times, but people cannot walk and text or walk and book new fastpasses at the same time.
This is just another thing that’s gonna make the person in front of me slow down and and be unaware of their surroundings….Enough already.
According to the official Disney World website, mobile ordering is not available to those using the dining plan. Per the website “We’re currently only accepting credit cards and debit cards for mobile order payments. If you would like to use Disney Gift Cards, Disney dining plans or any discounts that may be available to you, please order in person at the restaurant.”
