In June, we reported that the Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All Star Music Resort would be undergoing a major refurbishment from August 1 to December 20, 2014. Well, time sure flies, and the renovation is underway!
Guests staying at All Star Music have a few options available to meet their dining needs. Full access to End Zone Food Court at All Star Sports and World Premiere Food Court at All Star Movies will be available (as always) with the addition of dedicated bus transportation to either location.
For the duration of the refurbishment, Note’able Games Arcade has been changed to Note’able Grab ‘n Go.
The name says it all… this is your All Star Music stop for grab and go snacks, beverages, and meals. There is a small table seating area upon entry, in front of a section reserved for carrying trays, plastic ware, toasters, and a microwave.
Chips, fruits, and cereals are housed next to a huge array of refrigerated beverages.
It was nice to see a full stand dedicated to Special Dietary Treats such as OMG It’s Gluten-Free Brownies and allergen free Soft Baked Cookies.
The baked goods we’re used to seeing such as croissants, muffins, cinnamon rolls, brownies, cookies, and pastries are all accounted for, with the key difference being that they are individually packaged.
Many of these packages include ingredient lists (not typically available in their usual setting).
Refrigerated food items include cold fruits and veggie packages, as well as sandwiches and salads to make a fuller meal (below are just a few examples).
Of course, they’ve stocked up on the essentials… Mickey Krispy Treats and Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars 😉 .
Refillable Resort Mugs are available at this location.
Guests can receive their soda refills at this beverage station, where a Cast Member will assist (coffee and hot cocoa remain self-serve).
So, that’s a quick tour of what’s going on as we await Intermission Food Court’s reopening toward the end of the year! Those keeping up with All Star news may have noticed that the dates for this refurbishment almost exactly echo those of the renovation of All Star Sports End Zone Food Court that took place last year. The change was quite remarkable, resulting in a very different look as well as several new dining options and stations, taking several cues from some of the options that have met with so much success at the Art of Animation’s Landscape of Flavors.
While we have no idea what Intermission’s renovated space will look like, I’m guessing we all have to prepare ourselves to say goodbye to this guy…
… as we look forward to what’s to come!

They also had one of the Disney food trucks out by the pool. They are serving breakfast from 7 to 10 and dinner from 6 to 1030
It looks exactly like the one I saw at All Star Sports. My only issue with Disney was that they never told anybody that the Food Court would not be open so they could have a chance to rebook.
If you are a family that likes to stop by the food court on the way out the Grab N’ Go will not suffice. There is very little seating. Some people sat by the pool but that’s not always possible due to weather, and even then there isn’t enough space. Hopping on a bus to go to another resort then hopping on another bus to get to the parks was more of a pain than I expected. If breakfast time is important to you I highly suggest that you ask to be moved to another resort and explain why.
As for the selection, the sandwiches and baked goods were all fine. They never ran out of anything and it was well stocked.
Also… No! Not Guitar Man! Oh the humanity!

Now THAT is a good idea. It solves the hot breakfast problem I experienced last year. I’m glad that they are learning from their experiences. Did they add seating outside?
thrifty stayer — Oh, cool! Thanks so much for that info, I didn’t see one the day I was there. Much appreciated!
Galloping Gourmand — Thanks for sharing about your experience, too — definitely valuable information and perspective. Re: Guitar Guy… may he live in our hearts forever 😉 !
I know I was originally booked to stay at the music and i did received a letter from them months ago that they were renovating and that the restaurant would be closed. I was able to switch my reservation to sports with no issue
So I visited the food truck today and it was different from the one the other day. I talked with the cast members and they said it will be a mix up between the Fantasy Fare, World Showcase of Flavors and the Superstar Catering Trucks.. Apparently no love for the Namaste Truck as of yet. They are serving their regular menus for dinner but the breakfast is what got me. They are doing:
waffles with strawberries and fresh whipped cream
Bacon Cheese and Egg Croissants
and Smothered Biscuits with Sausage gravy, caramelized onions and Kielbasa
and yes there is seating and of course they take the Disney Dining plan as usual.
They seem to be off the beaten path but if you go out to the bar area and walk down towards Movies from there they seem to be in that corner.
Oh, my word… Smothered biscuits?!? That sounds AWESOME! Thanks so much, thrifty stayer! Hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation!
Will the cast members pour drinks directly into the refillable mugs? I read something during the Sports renovation about using little plastic cups, which seemed inadequate.
And we also received a letter a couple months ago about the renovation. No switching for us, though, since we have a family suite.
Is the room-service pizza delivery still operational?
Hi, Heidi! I don’t think the Cast Members can pour directly into the refillable mugs due to health code restrictions (I’m sorry, I neglected to ask what size cups they are using). I understand that pizza delivery is still available. Hope you all have a great trip!
We will be staying at ASMu in November. We received a letter informing us of the renovation. Between the grab and go and the food truck we should be fine. Thank you for the information everyone!
Music is “our” resort, so we’ll be staying there while the renovation is going on. Our TA was informed that the food court would be closed at the time we reserved, but we don’t regard that as a reason to change resorts. It’s pretty easy to stroll over to either Sports or Movies for a hot meal. Since we drive, we can easily pick up something at another resort, DTD, or even McDonald’s. We usually do breakfast at the food court, so we’ll likely be going over to another All Star for that at a few times. We’ve already scheduled a very late lunch at Tusker House one day which will fill us up so we’ll only need a snack in the evening, and we plan to hit the Food & Wine festival on two nights, so that solves dinner for at least three days. Love the idea that they’ll have food trucks there!
I’m planning to stay there this coming weekend, any special events going on for this Sat and Sunday? Are the food trucks for breakfast going to be there?
