I’m excited to say that we just had another awesome Disney Food Blog Snack Attack and IllumiNations Dessert Party a couple of weeks ago!!
It was so much fun to meet so many Disney Food Blog readers and supporters, and we lucked out with absolutely beautiful weather in Epcot for our VIP IllumiNations Dessert Party. Thank you all for coming!
What’s Snack Attack?
Just in case you’re new to DFB, our Snack Attack events are special ticket-only evenings where we combine:
- Our favorite Disney World snacks from all over the parks and resorts, AND
- A private, VIP viewing area for IllumiNations, Reflections of Earth — the Epcot fireworks spectacular!
If you want to attend our next Snack Attack, save the date for October 2, 2013!! Tickets will go on sale soon!
Whaddya Eat at Snack Attack?
Well, we eat all of my favorite snacks…and DFB readers seem to like ’em, too! These are served throughout the event, and are all-you-can-eat! Here’s a little sampling of some of the goodies…
Carrot Cake Cookies from Writer’s Stop in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (filled with gobs of cream cheese frosting!)
Zebra Domes from Animal Kingdom Lodge
School Bread from Epcot’s Norway pavilion
Butterfinger Cupcakes from Starring Rolls Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (these were made to be individual servings, but they were still big!)
Cheesecake Brownies from Boardwalk Resort Bakery (these were a hit of the party!)
Red Velvet Cupcakes from Starring Rolls Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (again, individual size, but huge!)
Real Disney Popcorn (in our own popcorn machine!!)
Never-Ending Mickey Bars and Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches
And it was ALL delicious!
What About the Fireworks?
Yep! The food was awesome; but for many folks, the highlight of the evening is the great view of the IllumiNations Fireworks Spectacular.
Disney guests hold their spots for this show for hours, so to enjoy a close-up view without having to save your viewing location forever means more fun in Epcot!
We had a blast! Wanna join us next time? We’d love to have you!
Save the Date for the Next Disney Food Blog Snack Attack: October 2, 2013!
We’ll have tickets available soon for our fourth Disney Food Blog Snack Attack in October! I hope you can join us! Stay tuned for details…

Kellie — Rock on! Looking forward to seeing you!
Marcellina — Yes; you can absolutely bring your little guy. Kids under 3 are free!

Those treats look delicious. Now I just need to talk my sister into coming with me!
OMG I nearly fainted when I read this – that is the day I’m planning to be in Epcot!!! I so hope I don’t miss out on tickets – I’m so excited!!!
OMG It’s the last evening of our trip 🙂 We wanted to go to Epcot anyway! This will make it so much more special! I guess you don’t take Disney Gift Cards?^^ But probably credit cards or Paypal?
Oh and anyway you could steal the Dole Whip self serve from Ctp Cook’s? 😀
I meant to say any way instead of anyway, sorry about that.
OMG we are in WDW then WOOOHOOOOOO. Funds permitting we will be there. If you can buy tickets from the UK that is 🙂
Awww, Bummer. We fly in 2 weeks later! 🙁
Is this the little viewing area down by England? The view of the lagoon is beautiful!
Sabrina – I was thinking the same thing1 😉 That and the new salted caramel tart from the Boardwalk Bakery!
David — Not at the moment 🙁
Juanita — YES! Bring your fam!

Jennifer — Yes! That’s where the event will be as long as we don’t get rained out. 😀
Perfect timing
Me and fiancee are planning a trip and October 2nd will be our last night at Disney.
I can’t think of a better way to end our honeymoon.
YES! I could definitely eat my weight in Mickey Bars, although I shouldn’t.
Here’s hoping I have the day off so I can finally meet some wonderful people! 🙂
Oh wow!!!! I’ll definitely be there!!!! Sooo pumped 😀
Noerdax — So excited! See you there!
Josh — Awesome!! Looking forward to meeting you.
Kristen — Yay!!
I had a great time at this Snack Attack. The cheesecake brownie was new to me and my favorite item of the bunch. I really wish Disney would sell a mini version of the treats on a permanent basis! I can’t be there in October, but I’d recommend the party to anyone thinking of going. Do it, people!
Hunny and I LOVED all the treats from this event, sad we will miss this next one. We already have our October trip planned for later in the month. Never know though, we might be able to squeeze in a 2 day, so ???? Dole Whips ??? So tempting….
They do need to shrink the cupcakes a bit more, they were still HUGE…It was a struggle to complete my one of EVERYTHING….Thank you for a yummy loveley evening !
Gutted. Wish Id known to save the date before I booked Be Our Guest on that date. Will there be any other DFB events around this time?
Nooo!! The 2nd? We are arriving in WDW on the 5th and will be there almost all month! =*(
Noooo!!!! I don’t arrive until October 3rd! I seriously miss it by ONE STINKING DAY! 🙁 I’m super bummed!
How and where do I get tickets for this?
LE Sigh… We miss it again. Someday!
Do these always get planned for a week day? Still somewhat new to DFB and just curious. I’ve got an annual pass but it’s not a quick trip to get there, so I wouldn’t mind skipping this one if future ones will possibly be on the weekend. Thanks!! Love this blog!!
Any Salted Carmel items????
Forget Dole Whips how about Citrus Swirls!!! Yum
Thats it! Im just going to head down on September and never come back, then Ill be able to go to every dessert party lol
Aw Shucks! We are going to miss it… had I known I would have had our wedding in September instead of Octoberand gone on our Disneymoon at the beginning of October and not the end…..Hmpf better luck next time! Looks like it is going to be totally amazing though!
You had me at “all you can eat carrot cake cookies”.
I can’t believe I’m actually going to be there then!! It’ll be my last night, and I’m so excited to be able to join you at this! Can’t wait to hear more details as they come. Thanks, AJ! This will be amazing.
OMG I’d LOVE to do this! Would there be any gluten-free snacks there? I know I wouldn’t be able to eat most of it, but some options would be amaaaaaazing.
Lori — Thank you so much for the kind words and review! 🙂 Hope to see you again soon!
vanessa gordon — I’m so sad I didn’t get to connect with you, but so happy you enjoyed the event!
Nicola — Skip BoG and go for lunch, then come to Snack Attack! 😉
Logan — I’m so sorry we’ll miss you!!!
Kristen — Argh! Hopefully you can make it next time! Send me your trip dates! 😀
Ceci — We’ll release tickets later this month or next month and I’ll post here on the blog in plenty of time! 🙂
Tricia — Fingers crossed we can see you soon!
Trish — Thanks for your feedback! Usually they are on a weekday, but I’ll consider doing them on weekends if enough folks would prefer!
Joni — I’m still working on the menu for this one!
Janel — YES!! Great idea!!!
Lori — I forgive you since it’s your wedding! ;-D
Allison Bedford — Ha ha! NO KIDDING!
Jan — YAY!!! Jan, can’t wait to see you!
Jenni — Yes, we do offer babycakes gluten free goodies at the event! Hope to see you there!
I will be in WDW that day. I’ll have to see if I can switch some ADRs around and make this happen!
We will be there later in October for Food & Wine and are very disappointed to miss such an awesome event!! Did I miss when tickets go on sale and how to get them? Friends may be interested who are in the area. Thx!
Also do you know the dates yet for the 3D Dessert party that is usually held on several Friday nights during F&W? Thanks again!! 🙂
We made the April Snack Attack and it was great! If you can get there, do it! It is well worth it. We may have to head back in October!
It sounds like you need to do this every week! You’ve got lots of interest! If this were in the 2nd week of September I’d totally be there. 🙂
Wow, this sounds amazing.
Would LOVE to go, but we don’t get in WDW until December. We go again end of Feb/early March – Plan one for then !! PLEASE !! LOL Maybe I can finally try the School Bread … I have yet to give it a whirl !
I want to come to one too but won’t be able to make the October one 🙁
Please keep having them & I will try to make one in2014 – looks like so much fun & YUM! Plus I would love to meet you too at no better place than my favorite – WDW!!
AJ- So excited that this is happening during October. We were supposed to fly home on the 2nd but are pushing it to the 3rd in hopes of getting tickets to this event! I love reading all of the reviews of these past events and would be thrilled to be a part of it this trip 🙂
Kily — Rock on!!! So excited to meet you!
Any chance you are having one of these on Aug. 11 or 12?
AJ,
The April party was such fun–thanks!!
However you simply HAVE to make the portions smaller. There was no way we could eat even HALF of each item. We were splitting them and still got full way before we got to the end of the table (to say nothing about the ice cream!).
It was great meeting you! You throw a great party!
Patti :o)) (hawklady313)
We just made our reservations for your dessert party!! YAY!! We are SO excited!! Can’t wait to meet you AJ!! 🙂
Julie — Awesome!! Can’t wait to meet you!
Yay! Just got our tickets. Can’t wait!! It’s our son’s 1st birthday.
Darlene — Can’t wait to see you!
We would love to have some of these desserts for our wedding dessert party. Are the desserts from their respective bakeries or did disney catering make them? We’re most interested in the school bread, carrot cake cookie, cupcakes, and cheesecake brownies.
