***2011 EPCOT FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL REVIEWS***
What Epcot Food and Wine Festival feature are you most looking forward to?
Thanks you so much for getting us the info!! I’m disappointed that there isn’t a more interesting Pastry Chef for the Sweet Sundays for the 2 weeks we will be there but I guess that just means I will have to save the money for more f&w elsewhere!
I also had a feeling the 3D dessert party would not be held Oct 19th. This changes my plans some as we will have to go to the Party on the 12th instead and the Swan Dolphin Classic the 13th instead of the 12th.
Can’t wait to see the seminars listings and hopefully get a spot at some of those! I currently have an AP voucher I will be Exchanging in October. Any chance I can book using that on August 10 or I need to wait till the 14th?
Thanks again for your work in getting us the info!!
Looking forward to seeing the low cost events. I am so tempted to sign up for cheese event.
For everyone who has been to F&W Festival in the past…for the special events like the Food and Beer pairing and the Tequila tasting, do they offer any alternate menu items for vegetarians? Or is it just the set menu and no other options? Thanks!
My mouth is watering so much right now! Thanks for the great info AJ!! Looking forward to seeing you again!
Hawaii booth is back, maybe they will have the Kona coconut beer I had on the Wonder.
Thank you so much for posting this! Can’t wait!
Paula! We are ready to book Sweet Sundays because we have met Warren before! You would not be disapointed that’s for sure if you decide to go. He’s a sweet guy over all and we always support locals =) He’s from Silver Springs,MD , does a lot of charity work for children and has a wonderful personality. You can’t go wrong with a brunch, champange and desserts! Hahah We are bummed that 3D desserts wont be hosting one the last week. =(
@Paula – you might want to email WDW to find out for sure. My guess is the AP needs to be activated.
I wonder who will spring for the Wine View Lounge now that the new reserved seats have all the benefits most people would want. The beer dinner and those at DTD must not have been very popular: other than Raglan Rd, they all had big price drops this year.
Thanks so much for all the information. Unfortunately, my worst fears have been confirmed and the dessert party conflicts with my existing reservations for Le Cellier, which of course, I can’t get changed at this late date (believe me, I checked.) I just wish Disney would release this schedule earlier in the year, it makes planning nearly impossible. Ah well, we’ll just enjoy the food booths.
Do you know if they are going to do the scent seminar that was mentioned elsewhere on the site? That sounds absolutely fabulous, and within my price range!
oh so excited! hope i can go again this year, last year was my first time and it was amazing!
I really wish I were headed to the Festival this year! It all just sounds like so much delicious fun. The Florida booth look so yum! I’m also intrigued by the vegan booth…and while vegan wine sounds like a wonderful treat for vegans, I can’t help but wonder what is in other wines to make then NOT vegan. Gelatin or something? Does anyone know?
Where are you seeing the dates for the 3D dessert festival? This will be my first time at the Food and Wine! Can’t wait!
Does anyone know if the culinary demos/seminars will be on a list before we get there? I was reading about buying advance purchase tickets to avoid lines, but are those just generic tickets that can be used at any of the demos/seminars or do you have to be specific (& a list will be available before the 10th)??
First F&W and I’m very much put of my element. Ask me anything about a Disney race and I’ve got that overed, but I’m a F&W cirgin. Lol
Thanks,
Jennie
@ MaryJane – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012-epcot-food-and-wine-festival-special-events/ 3D Desserts: October 5th and 12th from 7-8:30pm; October 26 and November 2 from 8:00-9:30PM
@Jennie – It seems very late this year, in the past they did release the schedule before the tickets went on sale. Demo tickets are for a specific session. There’s a booth inside the festival building where you pick up that day’s tickets that you’ve ordered or purchase if there is still space available.
Jennie — yes, a list will be released soon. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for updates very soon.
Thank you so much. I will be out of town during the purchase period and I’m trying to get tickets for 6 so I appreciate any advance info I can get to help make decisions.
Hey, my husband and I sat next to you during the sneak peek dinner! It was so nice meeting you and being able to put a face to a blog that I follow. Keep up the good work!
Megan!! It was so good to meet you guys! Hope to see you at the Festival!
I’m a little surprised there is still no info available on the demo/seminars. Would have been nice if they had published something this weekend. It’s going to be crazy trying to decide what to do just 1-3 days beforehand…
Still no info on culinary demo/mixology/wine seminar events. How are those of us who are able to book early (tomorrow) going to find out about them in time to decide? Not very good planning on Disney’s part. I’m a bit surprised…and disappointed.
