The first bakery to be highlighted in our Disney World Bakery Throwdown is: Magic Kingdom’s Main Street Bakery!
Atmosphere
Main Street Bakery fits right into the turn-of-the-century atmosphere of Main Street USA.

With brass, period light fixtures; wrought iron chairs; and walls covered in tile and mirrors, you really will feel as though you’ve stepped back in time when you walk through the doors of the Bakery.

The Main Street Bakery is a great place to stop for breakfast on your way into the park, or for a rest as the park is closing — those are definitely my two favorite times to visit! If you’re a fan of the Main Street Bakery, be sure to vote for it in the Bakery Throwdown!

These are EVERYONE’s favorite times. If you like to go to places when they’re less crowded, stop by for dessert after lunch or a pre-dinner snack.
VERY good point, CA! Thanks for the tip!
What about the cinnamon rolls? It’s not a trip to WDW without a Main Street Bakery cinnamon roll IMO.
You know I have NEVER been to Main Street Bakery…it is always so crowded. I will have to make this one of my must-dos for the next trip.
Scott: You’re 100% correct — thanks for reminding us of the wonderful cinnamon rolls!
Elisabeth: CA had some great points in the comment above about when to visit to avoid the crowds 🙂
When we were there in mid-November, we tried to get French Toast Loaf and were told it was no longer being made. I hope the Cast Members were wrong!
Anna, I’m afraid you’re correct. French Toast Loaf has been MIA for a while at the bakery. You never know, though — they might bring it back, fingers crossed!
I had the French Toast Loaf back in February 2009. By March it disappeared :'(
So sad, Kelly. I wonder why they take our favorite things away from us. Like World of Motion. And French Toast Loaf.
The banana bread pudding, carrot cake, and cinnamon rolls are where it’s at!
Still have to try that banana bread pudding, Mikey!
Hands down the best bakery in Disney is Babycakes, not only can you feel guilt-free after eating here, you’ll truly enjoy these delicious treats like coconut doughnuts or rich, chocolate cupcakes!
